Haldia Institute of Technology, Midnapore is the first accredited, private educational institution to impart technical education in West Bengal. It is located in an industrial center in eastern India.
Haldia Institute of Technology has objectives to create a highly trained professional workforce in various disciplines of technology, engineering and social sciences. With good placement opportunities and excellent infrastructure, it is one of the best universities in West Bengal.
university Infrastructure:
The infrastructure of the university is quite good. Our campus area is large but the buildings lack maintenance. The labs are well equipped, although some equipment is outdated and needs to be updated. The food in the hostel is fine, it is not tasty, but it is healthy and we have vegetarian and non-vegetarian food options.
Academics:
Some teachers are really good. However, most of the professors are academic practitioners and are currently working on their research, which means that all faculty are well learned. The college follows the recently updated MAKAUT University syllabus. Therefore we follow an updated schedule.
Haldia Institute of Technology Placement:
Our Institution is located in Haldia, which means that many companies do not see it during the placement season compared to universities in cities like Kolkata. Placement in CSE and IT branch is quite decent, but the situation is critical for students in core branch. However, the biggest package of this year was offered to a major student which was around 10lpa.
Price-performance ratio:
The ROI of this university is quite good. The semester fee is not really high. Except for those studying with TFW fees, they are about 50,000 for all students except the shelter and disaster account. For TFW students, the fee is as low as 6,500 per semester.
University life:
Life on campus is really good. Most older people and faculty are actually useful to students. The campus is equipped with all the necessary facilities. We have cafeterias on campus, restaurants, outings.
